For me & my friends, it is really small as fuck
i can't understand why Xiaomi doesn't provide a customization setting for scaling....
it was actually normal in 6.0 based MIUI version, it just becomes so small when i update to 7.0 based MIUI.
by the way, i've asked whether eu version can provide a patch on this problem here:
